Marijuana Review: Jilly from GrowState Seattle recreational marijuana source

Another week, another strain from GrowState.  Last week we covered their rendition of Chocolope, and today we have a review of their Jilly – a sativa dominant hybrid.  We picked the strain up from Fremont neighborhood recreational shop OZ, one of our new favorite destinations to get smokable libations (I know libations means drinks but just work with me here).

Talking about GrowState, one thing we touched on last week was how the Spokane-based operation pays serious attention to detail when it comes to creating fantastic marijuana.  From the taste of the herb, to the clear packaging so that we can see the product – this producer is thorough.

On top of the quality, GrowState has incredibly affordable artisan product in this ever burgeoning recreational industry.  I’ve been picking up 7 grams for $63, tax included.  That’s street price (give or take a few bucks).  If this producer keeps cranking out homerun hitters for a reasonable fee, then for the first time I can honestly imagine the black market not having to exist.

Enough about counting coins, let’s talk specifics on getting high:

Total: 16.2% THC: 7.3% CBD: 0.3%

THCA: 10.1%

Strain: Jilly (7g package)
Species: Hybrid (Sativa Dominant)
Smell: Lemongrass + Hay + Skunk
Taste: Sweet + Earthiness
Launch Point: Almost instantaneous after smoking
High: Motivating + Hyper + Feel Good

When first looking at Jilly, the nuggets seem to look back at you.  I believe the strain can also be referred to as “Jillybean”; this is funny because the first thing I thought when looking into the bag was, “this looks like a bunch of jellybeans”.  Looking closer at the weed, it’s a wonderful fluorescent green with dark woodsy crevasses and a smattering of crystalized red hair.

Talking about smell, this strain has a sensational scent of lemongrass, hay, and of course a little skunk.  I like it when herb isn’t super overpowering when it comes to scent, sometimes a nug can really clear a room – especially if you live in a multiple person apartment/house.

Jilly has a sweetness to the taste, I couldn’t really attribute it to anything more specific other then “sweet”.  There is definitely an earthiness to the flavor, probably following from the lemongrass/hay aroma.

Every once and awhile, you’ll find a true feel good herb – lo and behold, GrowState has conjured Jilly for our sunny and rainy days.  Rejoice in the instantaneous high, bask in the fluctuating indica body ripples, seize the day for you and yours, set goals and smash them!

Ahem.  Right… so basically getting high with this strain provided a positive and suspiciously productive experience almost every time.  I’d recommend Jilly for newcomers and veterans.  No paranoia, minimal burnout, and overall superhero-esque vibes in terms of getting shit done and having a great time while doing it.

GrowState have done mankind an exemplary service; not only providing stellar product, but that at a decent price.  I want to go there should be your Liz Lemon-esque reaction.  Find some GrowState product today using the producer’s nifty Find a Retailer page, and if you can find some Jilly then I’d say get it.
