The process to determine who will be allowed to operate Seattle pot stores has reached a big milestone. All applicants were randomly selected and ranked by number using a double blind lottery held by the Washington State Liquor Control Board.
25 applicants have been chosen to proceed with the rest of the process which may include – but may not be limited to – background checks, evaluation of finances and operating plans, and walkthroughs. Upon successfully passing this part of the process, the applicant should be awarded an official retail marijuana license.
Here is a map of the selected retail marijuana applicants of Seattle. If all applicants pass the final steps of the process, this will give you a good idea of what the landscape of recreational marijuana stores would look like in Seattle.
